Cuban women leaders support Maria Corina Machado

A diverse group of Cuban women activists, artists, businesswomen and influencers sent a video to María Corina Machado expressing their support and admiration for her work in Venezuela.

«María Corina, we are with you. Cuban women who have lived through the horrors of communism accompany you“As people who have experienced first-hand the suffering of Venezuelans and their cause for freedom, we extend to you our most sincere support and absolute admiration for the courageous work you lead in Venezuela,” can be heard at the beginning of the recorded message.

They consider María Corina Machado as a shrewd woman, who with conviction and in a peaceful manner «has put in check» Nicolás Maduro. They also see her as the most important political leader in the world.

The video It was released this Sunday September 22 by Machado, who accompanied the piece with a message of gratitude and recognition for the work that Cuban women have done for the freedom of their country.

“My Cuban soul friends, thank you! If there is a people who have suffered decades of pain due to communism, it is yours. Your struggle is ours. We love you and admire your courage! Today, women of the world are connected in an unstoppable network for dignity, democracy and freedom,” wrote Machado.

The video featured Rosa María Payá, activist and founder of Cuba Decide; Susana Pérez, actress; Rachell Vallori, model and actress; Grecia Ordóñez, entrepreneur, activist and influencer; Haydée Milanés, singer; Bea César, singer and composer; Claudia Riverón, civil engineer; Camila Acosta, journalist and researcher; Gigi Maduq, communicator, model and influencer; Gabriela Pino, businesswoman.

Also Daycee Zamora, doctor and member of Cubanos Libres in Uruguay; Anamely Ramos, activist and member of the San Isidro Movement; Marissa Díaz, libertarian influencer; Beatriz Valdés, actress and acting coach; Aymée Nuviola, musician, composer and actress; Elianys Beatriz Pérez, Lic. in Sciences in Global Business, and Carolina Barrero, activist and founder of Ciudadanía y Libertad.

«You are not alone. Cuban women are with you and there is no turning back. It is until the end, and that end will not happen until there is: freedom,” the leaders added to María Corina Machado.

A similar video spread this weekend former Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla. But women leaders from Central America participated, sharing a message with Machado.
