Applications for resident status must be made through the Ministry of National Security (MNS).
CARICOM nationals can legally work and/or reside in Trinidad and Tobago indefinitely. Registration with local authorities is usually required first.
Persons who are in Trinidad and Tobago on a CSME or work permit for five or more continuous years are considered eligible for residency.
