Domestic CAL flight lands safely after warning light comes on
Caribbean Airlines has confirmed that a warning light came on during a flight from Tobago to Trinidad, but the plane was able to land safely.
The airline is disputing reports on social media which said the plane experienced “engine failure”.
“The pilots initiated the relevant operating procedure, and the aircraft landed safely and taxied to a gate position at the Piarco International Airport where all passengers and crew disembarked,” Caribbean Airlines said in a release.
It added: “In keeping with the regulations, the aircraft has been temporarily withdrawn from service and all appropriate inspections and procedures are in progress. Once these are cleared the aircraft will be released.”
