DPP orders inquest into fatal Carenage stabbing

Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, has ordered an inquest be held into the death of Keisha Simone Mc Donald, which occurred in the Carenage district, on Sunday 29 September 2024.

According to a statement from the Police Service, a female suspect who was held in connection with the incident also was ordered to be released pending the findings of the inquest.

The decision was made on Thursday 3 October 2024.

Mc Donald, 46, of Upper Abbe Poujade Street, Carenage, allegedly was stabbed in the chest by another woman during a physical altercation, on Sunday 29th September 2024.

The TTPS reports that investigations were supervised by ASP (Ag.) Ramjag, Insp. (Ag.) Ramsumair, Insp. (Ag.) Teeluck and Insp. Mongroo, all of Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region One, together with various agencies.

In addition, PC Hosein, who is attached to HBI Region One, is the complainant in the matter.
