Drivers will receive a fine of 30 euros if they drive through the BusCaracas channel

Based on a new measure implemented by the Citizen Coexistence Office of the Libertador municipality, the Drivers who travel through the exclusive channels of BusCaracas and Metrobús In the capital city, they will be fined 30 euros. Ronald Villegas, coordinator of the office, informed about this regulation during an interview on the Televen channel.

BusCaracas: 30 euro fine will apply to both cars and motorcycles

Villegas stressed that, previously, the lanes enabled for BusCaracas and Metrobús were also used by vehicles in emergency situations, such as ambulances or police units.

However, with the new regulations, The transit of private vehicles is completely prohibited in these lanes, as well as the passage of motorcycles. Since the misuse of these routes affects the response time of public transport and generates inconveniences in the city’s mobility.

For his part, Luis Quijada, a police officer in Caracas, explained that previously the use of these lanes was permitted to certain vehicles in specific situations. However, with the entry into force of this new ordinance, any violation related to driving in these exclusive lanes will lead to an administrative sanction.

The Fine will be based on 30 times the value of the highest denomination currency set by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV). Which is equivalent to about 30 euros.
