Edmundo González plans to tour Latin America
Edmundo González Urrutia announced on Friday that he plans to carry out a diplomatic tour of Latin America before January 10, 2025, the date on which the transfer of presidential commandas dictated by the Constitution of Venezuela. The objective – he said – is to continue gathering support for the Venezuelan democratic cause.
“We did a tour of Europe and we are thinking about another tour of several Latin American countries. We are going to do everything in due time,” González said in an interview with the Chilean channel TVN.
The former Venezuelan ambassador pointed out that on this journey he seeks to get more countries to join in recognizing the will expressed in the presidential elections of July 28, in which the opposition claims to have won with more than 67% of the votes.
The unitary standard-bearer of the opposition affirmed that they continue working to achieve the goal of returning to Venezuela to lead “a peaceful transition.”
