Edmundo González will speak with EU ministers
Venezuelan opposition leader Edmundo González Urrutia He will address the European Union’s foreign ministers via videoconference on Thursday (EU), which will discuss the crisis in that country at an informal Council meeting.

«Edmundo’s call will be very important for the ministers to take stock of the situation in Venezuela, and I hope that at the end of the day, Ministers decide what to say about the outcome of this election“, Borrell said.
The head of European diplomacy recalled that he believes that “Maduro clearly cannot be recognized as a legitimate winner of this presidential election,” although he added that we must wait to see what the EU foreign ministers.
At the same time, he recalled that “repression in Venezuela continues,” that opposition politicians have been arrested, and expressed great concern about the situation of opposition leaders.
EU ministers to discuss Venezuela crisis
Ministers will discuss the political crisis in Venezuela almost a month after the presidential elections on July 28, following the ruling of the Venezuelan Supreme Court that ratified Nicolás Maduro as president, accepting the results released by the National Electoral Council (CNE)despite not providing the electoral records.
The EU has stated that the Caracas authorities have not provided the “public evidence necessary” to declare Maduro president, and that it will not recognise him as such until it has “complete and independently verifiable” results of the electoral records.
