Former Venezuelan military officer Báez Torrealba warns about the alleged arrival of officers to the DR to “eliminate him”

The retired officer, who has resided in the Dominican Republic since 2009, went to Daily List to make your complaint public before presenting yourself to the Police Criminal Investigations Directorate (DICRIM). There he delivered a document in which he sets out his accusations, along with photographs of the Venezuelan officers who, according to him, are already in the country.

“I say that they are hitmen, murderers and torturers of the military counterintelligence directorate of the Armed Forces of Venezuela,” said Báez Torrealba.

He added that “that direction has as its chain of command the illegitimate president of Nicolás Maduro” and the officers he mentioned.

The retired general explained that he left Venezuela in 2008 due to his disagreement with the policies of then-president Hugo Chávez. This, according to him, led to continued persecution against him and his family, forcing them to cross the border into Colombia, subsequently travel to the United States and finally settle legally in the Dominican Republic.
