Four arrested in Zulia for abusing a young woman with a disability
Four people, including two minors, were recently arrested for sexually abusing a 27-year-old man with severe cognitive disabilitiesin the Juan de Dios González sector, San Carlos parish, Colon municipality, Zulia state.
The arrest occurred after the victim’s mother went to the Bolivarian Police Corps of Zulia State (CPBEZ) to report that a subject known as Yiyo abused her disabled daughter, recorded the incident on video and posted it on social media.
Officers began an investigation after receiving the complaint and began searching for the whereabouts of the man identified as Johnnyven Ángel Omaña Vera, 42 years old, alias Yiyo.

Officials located and arrested the main person responsible for the abuse of the disabled young woman and also proceeded to arrest Camila Isabel Escalante Prada, 19 years old, who was in charge of recording the videos. In addition, Two teenagers, aged 14 and 15, were detained for their alleged involvement in the events.
The victim was taken by an officer to the National Service of Medicine and Forensic Sciences (Senamecf), where he received medical and psychological attention.
The detainees were taken to the South Police Coordination Center of Lake Oeste in Zulia, where they were placed under police custody and placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
