Frayre dominates early stages of Tobago Cycling

Mexican cyclist Eder Frayre won Stage 2 of the 2024 Tobago International Cycling Classic to take the yellow jersey.

The 32-year-old clocked two hours nine minutes 40 seconds to win the stage second stage ahead of Andrew Scarano of the USA (2:09.44) with Delano Swenne of the Netherlands (2:14.25) in third place.

Fraye was fourth in the opening stage which was a 100km ride over five laps from Mt Irvine/Grange.

Mateo Garcia of Colombia won the opening stage, with Marius Hofmeister of the Netherlands in second, and Josias Velasquez of Venezuela in third place.

Frayre won the stages two and four of the Tour of Tobago in 2023
