Today’s Highlights:
On Wednesday 30th October 2024, several cases of alcohol were stolen from a delivery truck outside R.D. Seeraj Supermarket at Penal Rock Road.
• The contractor with A.S. Brydens explained what transpired on that day when the thieves were able to disarm the alarm from his vehicle and steal the items while he was inside the business.
Three persons died as a result of road traffic accidents within the last 48 hours:
A Preschool principal died one day after being struck by a vehicle in Point Fortin on Wednesday 6th November, 2024.
• The deceased, identified as Pamela Idemudia, was one of the two struck by a car while crossing the street near the Egypt Government Primary School in Point Fortin.
• The Duo were subsequently taken to the hospital where Pamela succumbed to her injuries on Thursday 7th November 2024.
A schoolboy dies almost two weeks after accident being injured in an accident in Golconda.
• The deceased has been identified as Denzel Ramnarine. He passed away at the San Fernando General Hospital on Wednesday, 6th November 2024.
• Denzel was among several people injured in an accident in Golconda on Friday, 25th October 2024.
A man yet to be identified was knocked down and killed along the Churchill Roosevelt highway in Trincity and several vehicles drove over him on Wednesday 6th November 2024.
A total of 83 persons died as a result of road traffic accidents for the year thus far.
A 99-year-old woman perished in a fire at her Port of Spain home on Thursday 7th November 2024:
• She has been identified as Clara Jackson who lived at Borde Street in Port of Spain.
• The fire was spotted at the house just after 1pm and officers of the nearby Wrightson Road Fire Station responded to the blaze.
• It was not until several hours later the woman’s remains were found inside the burnt structure.
A man was shot and killed in Laventille Road in San Juan hours after his brother was held by police with a loaded Ar-15 rifle on Thursday 7th November 2024:
• Joseph Charles, aka Joey, was shot and killed, and another man was injured late on Thursday, 7th November 2024.
Eight (8) bandits robbed R7 Fashion Store located along Abercromby Street between Oxford and Park Streets, Port of Spain on Thursday 7th November 2024:
• Three of the suspects are believed to be Shakim, Coco, and Isaiah Lawrence.
Police held one bandit who was involved in a robbery at Trotters Restaurant on Maraval Road in Port-of-Spain on Thursday 7th November 2024.
