Guillermo Lasso, former president of Ecuador, met with Edmundo González in Madrid on Tuesday. “My commitment is to continue supporting all diplomatic efforts to achieve this. Not one step back!” Lasso declared, stressing his determination to work alongside Venezuelan leaders in the search for a peaceful and democratic solution to the crisis facing the country.

Edmundo González also expressed his gratitude for the meeting, noting the importance of the conversation about the impact of the Venezuelan crisis in the region.
