Gun, ammo found in Point Fortin, Arima
A handgun and ammunition were among illegal items police seized in north and south Trinidad on August 20.
A police release on August 21 said the first exercise yielded one Glock 17 pistol loaded with a magazine containing 11 rounds of ammunition. This was found in Egypt Village, Point Fortin around 7.50 am.
In another exercise on the same day, members of the Arima Intelligence and Operations Unit carried out an intelligence-led exercise between 1.45 pm and 4.45 pm during which they found a
magazine, a drum magazine, an assortment of ammunition, two black helmets, a pair of black tactical pants and a glove.
These items were discovered at Church Street, Carapo, Arima.
Investigations into the two finds are ongoing.
