Health minister confirms two more dengue deaths

Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh has confirmed that two more dengue-related deaths have been recorded, pushing the total to 11.

He made the announcement today during a prostate screening exercise at Trincity Mall, where he noted that confirmed dengue infection cases remained at 911.

Deyalsingh continued to encourage citizens presenting symptoms linked to the mosquito-borne illness to seek urgent medical attention.

He also stated that authorities will continue to take necessary actions including penalizing homeowners for failing to clean their properties.
