JISTV | Post Cabinet Press Briefing

The purpose of the post-cabinet press briefing is to provide the media and the public with an opportunity to learn about the decisions that have been made by the Cabinet. The briefing is usually held on Wednesdays at 9:00 AM at the Office of the Prime Minister.

The briefing is hosted by Senator Dr. the Hon. Dana Morris Dixon, Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for Information, Skills and Digital Transformation who is responsible for providing an overview of the decisions that have been made. The ministers responsible for the individual portfolios will then provide more details about the decisions that affect their areas of responsibility.

The post-cabinet press briefing is an important way for the government to communicate with the public about its policies and priorities. It is also an opportunity for the media to ask questions about the decisions that have been made.

Here are some of the topics that may be discussed at a post-cabinet press briefing:

Economic policy
Social policy
Foreign policy
National security
Infrastructure development
Public sector reform
Crime and violence
Natural disasters
Other matters of public interest
