Let’s save the U triumphs in the UCV 2024 elections

The student movement Save the U is the winner of the student elections of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), with more than 500 votes difference it defeated the Todos X La U board, keeping the presidency and vice-presidency of the Federation of Centers University students (FCU) for the next two years.

According to the official results of the UCV Student Electoral Commission, the iron obtained 5,571 votes, while Todos por la U obtained 4,748 votes and Vinotinto Estudiantentil only 107 votes.

The candidate Miguelangel Suarezcurrent municipal leader and student at the UCV School of Political and Administrative Studies, is elected by the Ucevistas as president of the FCU-UCV and Rosa Cucunuba, a law student, is elected as vice president.

María Corina Machado congratulates the winning iron

Opposition leader María Corina Machado congratulated all UCV students for their performance in the student elections, and also highlighted the values ​​of citizenship and the spirit of victory that built the winning team, “Together, we are going to build a prosperous nation.” , with solid republican, ethical and liberal pillars; a society based on knowledge and innovation, which will offer opportunities for intellectual, cultural and economic growth to all its young people,” Machado wrote about the results of the UCV student elections.

Until late at the UCV

The students of the house that conquers the shadows stayed late into the night to finish counting the votes, the results were given approximately at almost 4:00 am. The electoral process ended late, because in some faculties and schools there were missing ballots after 06:00 pm when voting was supposed to end.

Likewise, this process suffered sabotage by unknown individuals, who threw tear gas bombs at the Faculty of Humanities and Education. However, all the students were able to vote calmly after this and now the ucevistas have their new student representatives for the next two years.
