The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured this Monday that the South African tycoon Elon Musk invested “no less” than 1,000 million dollars in an alleged plan of “violence” against the July 28 elections, in which the Chavista was proclaimed winner by the National Electoral Council (CNE), a result questioned inside and outside the country.

«Elon Musk, I know what I am saying, I say it knowingly and I think I fall short, Elon Musk invested in the coup d’état, in the fascist outbreak, in the violence against the electoral process in Venezuela, no less than “1 billion dollars, no less,” said the head of state on his weekly television program, although without showing evidence in this regard.

He again accused the founder of SpaceX of being “behind” the plan of the Venezuelan “extreme right” – as he usually refers to the majority opposition, grouped in the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) – to generate violence and ignore the result announced by the CNE. , which has not yet published the disaggregated data of those elections, despite the fact that it was established in the official schedule.

«Behind it is the government of the United States of America, the permanent conspiracy of the North American empire, the banknotes of economic power, Elon Musk. “Elon Musk (…) lasted about a month writing every day, that Venezuela, that Maduro, that this, go out into the streets, burn, kill, do, and Elon Musk was defeated,” he said.
