Man confronted by someone he knows, chopped

A 42-year-old man is warded in a serious condition following a confrontation in Carenage.

The incident took place at 5pm yesterday along L’Anse Mitan Road.

The victim was standing in a yard when he was confronted by a man he knows.

The suspect pulled out a cutlass and chopped the victim multiple times.

The suspect then fled the scene.

The police and emergency health services were notified and the injured man was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital where he was treated.
