Man found dead at Couva home

A post mortem has been ordered to confirm the cause of death of 58-year-old Bridgelal Sookraj.

His decomposing body was found on Monday afternoon at his home in Mc Bean Village, Couva.

Police were told that he had last been seen alive around 2pm on October 8.

According to police reports, relatives went to check on Sookraj after not hearing from him for a few days.

When they arrived they discovered his body on the floor of his home.

The police were notified and a team of officers led by PC Mathura and PC Khan responded.

The body was viewed by a district medical officer who ordered its removal.

Due to the circumstances of its discovery a post mortem was ordered to determine the cause of death in keeping with the investigatory process.
