Man found dead in Morvant with gunshot wounds

A 23-year-old man was found dead in Morvant on Thursday morning.

At approximately 5:38 a.m., the Northern Division Task Force responded to reports of gunshots on Angeline Street, Mountain View, Morvant. 

Upon arrival, the officers searched a bushy dirt trail and discovered the lifeless body of a man in a wooden and concrete structure.

The victim, later identified as Samuel Farrell, had been shot several times. Inspectors from the Morvant CID were also present at the scene.

Samuel was identified by his father at the scene. Investigations continue.
