A man killed his father after hitting him with a pickaxe inside his home located in the El 70 neighborhood of the El Parroquia. Caracas Valley.
According to police sources, on the night of Saturday, September 14, Deivis Rodríguez, 40, was drinking alcohol in the area and became violent with his neighbors.
His father, seeing the situation, called his attention and asked him to come into the house. The man was upset but did as he said.
Rodriguez waited for his father to fall asleep to grab the tool and cause multiple injuries to different parts of his body.
After the attack, Rodriguez went to bed and the father began to ask for help. The neighbors managed to enter the building and took the victim to a health center, where he finally died.
The case was reported to the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps, and a commission from the Homicide Division traveled to the scene of the crime in El Valle, where they managed to arrest the aggressor.
Investigations revealed that this man tends to become violent whenever he drinks. It was not the first time he had attacked his father.
He also has police records for personal injury and violence. The case was placed under the orders of the 35th Prosecutor’s Office of the Ministry Public.
