María Corina Machado shared a video of the detainee’s daughter Stephanie Labrador, in which she asks the authorities to allow her to know the whereabouts of her father, a professor at the University of Zulia (LUZ), and for her rights to be respected.

Until now, the family does not know the reason for the arrest and has not been able to accredit a lawyer to handle the case in court.

Labrador’s arrest has also been criticized by the teaching union, which calls for the immediate release of the teacher, arrested when he was going to visit his daughter.

Likewise, the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), Venezuela’s main opposition coalition, demanded the freedom of the deputy, as well as “the cessation of persecution against Venezuelans who work for change in the country”.
