Minister Hinds meets with Hungarian Ambassador to T&T

Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds has met with Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Balázs Heincz, at the Ministry of National Security.

Ambassador Heincz is resident in Havana, Cuba and took the opportunity to meet with Minister Hinds during a working visit to Trinidad and Tobago.

The discussion focused on potential areas of collaboration between Trinidad and Tobago and Hungary, in the field of cybersecurity, particularly, cybersecurity concerns related to the protection of critical infrastructure.

Hinds expressed appreciation for the Hungarian proposal and committed to giving consideration for the advancement of the engagement.

Minister Hinds and Ambassador Heincz both agreed to explore more areas for collaboration, in an effort to build Trinidad and Tobago-Hungary bilateral relations.

Also present at the meeting were, Head of Information Technology, Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, ASP Amos Sylvester; Deputy Director of International Affairs, Aneesa Israel; ICT Security Specialist, TTCSIRT, Anish Bachu; and member of the Cyber and Social Media Unit, Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, Sergeant Marvin Walker.
