Minister Stuart Young’s Address To The Nation After 6 8M Earthquake



Minister of National Security and Communications, Stuart Young, addressed the nation shortly after Tuesday’s 6.8 Magnitude earthquake, which occurred at around 5:30pm.

He said there is NO tsunami warning for Trinidad and Tobago. Additionally, there were no reports of severe injuries and fatalities from the earthquake, or reports of infrastructural damages at major government buildings, including police stations.

Minister Young confirmed that all police officers will be out in their numbers to deal with any disruption in law and order stemming from the earthquake, and to manage traffic as some lights were down.
