Today’s Highlights:
Another kidnapping has been recorded in the Central Division within one month executed by persons wearing police gear.
A Cunupia businessman was kidnapped by men dressed as police and a $3M ransom was demanded on Saturday 12th October 2024.
• The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Suvesh Ramnarine, the operator of Cooksie’s Auto in Warrenville, Cunupia.
• Around 7:10pm, CCTV footage captured the kidnapping of Ramnarine from Rob’s bar along the Southern Main Road by several heavily armed men dressed as police officers.
• Ramnarine’s Toyota Prado SUV, Reg# PCX-3087 was also taken by the suspects who left in opposite directions.
• Around 7:23pm, A relative received a phone call from her son from his cell phone where he indicated to her that he was being kidnapped, and a ransom was being asked for his released.
• Ramnarine’s Toyota Prado SUV, was discovered abandoned along Corra Road, Chin Chin Road in Cunupia on Sunday 13th October 2024.
A total of ten (10) murders were recorded between Friday and today in Barataria, Belmont, Petit Valley, San Juan, Princes Town, Williamsville, three (3) in Diego Martin and Tobago.
There were reports of a murder in the Barataria district early this morning, Monday 14th October, 2024.
28 shots were fired at 19-year-old Shondell Barrow, a CCC student (Civilian Conservation Corps near his Gonzales, Belmont home early on Monday, 14th October 2024.
A man was shot and killed at Ravine Road in Petit Valley on Sunday 13th October 2024.
• The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Gabriel Jules who was shot by persons known to him around 7:45pm along a dirt road in the vicinity of a minimart.
A Guyanese national identified as 37-year-old Mark Archer aka Marcus of Bon Accord and Bejucal Road, Cunupia who originally hailed from Guyana was found chopped to death on a beach behind the ANR Robinson Airport in Tobago on Sunday 13th October 2024.
A special reserve police officer was shot and killed while another was wounded in a drive-by shooting in San Juan on Saturday 12th October, 2024.
• The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Jerome Bleasdel, #8125, of La Canoa Road, Lower Santa Cruz.
34-year-old Laura Sankar was fatally chopped by her 41-year-old husband Narad Sankar at their Post Office Trace, Princes Town home on Saturday 12th October, 2024.
An unidentified man was found murdered outside a cemetery in Williamsville on Saturday 12th October, 2024.
Three (3) men were gunned down in Diego Martin hours apart on Friday 11th October 2024.
The latest killing took place at Mercer Street.
• The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Kerron Waldron.
• Levi Gabriel aka ‘Max’ was also wounded in the shooting.
Hours earlier, around 6:45 p.m., 22-year-old Josiah Cooke of Kelly Street, Diego Martin was shot and killed at Quarry Street in Diego Martin shortly after he left home to purchase an item at a shop a short distance away.
• On Sunday 13th October, 2024, during a wake being held for Josiah, a man was seen running down the hill shouting, “Gunman.” Persons attending the wake began running in different directions.
Earlier in the morning, Sherwin Carter was gunned down at his Blue Basin Road Diego Martin home.
Murder is suspected after a 38-year-old woman of South Oropouche died at the San Fernando General Hospital, two weeks after she was admitted to the facility.
• The deceased was identified as Ashrina Lall of Belle View Village, South Oropouche.
