In this episode of Morning Edition, we discuss the new school term. Thousands of the country’s Primary and Secondary School students are expected out to school today as the new school term begins. 

But there continues to be serious concerns about the readiness of some institutions. 

We are joined this morning by President of the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association Martin Lum Kin and in Tobago TTUTA’S Tobago Officer Brandon Robert. 

Members of the Judiciary are told the population is waiting on the day when criminals in this country reap the consequences of their actions. This comes from Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley.

Speaking at the annual Independence Day toast of the TTPS. Dr Rowley also reminded the police that there is no prize for second place when it comes to dealing with crime.

On the line this morning is President of the Police Social and Welfare Association ASP Gideon Dickson.
