In this episode of Morning Edition, we acknowledge the great concern that members of the business community are continuing to express over recent incidents of kidnapping in this country. On the line this morning is Chairman of the Confederation of Regional Businesses Vivek Charran.

Then after a quick break, we discuss the AMPLIFY programme brought back by the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service. To tell us more about the AMPLIFY programme is Ms. Athaliah Samuel Technical Coordinator of ‘A Music Production and Life Skills Initiative for Youth’ (AMPLIFY) Programme.

After our 7AM News and a quick health tip, we return to talk about Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago’s collaboration on a visual art project funded by the Caribbean Culture Fund (CCF). The project will culminate in simultaneous exhibitions across the three nations, and under this year’s theme around CARICOM’s 10-Point Plan for reparative justice. Here to tell us more about the event is Junnel Lewis from Lewis’ Collection-LCS Limited.

Then we discuss the Caribbean Water and Wastewater 33rd Annual Conference and Exhibition, which will be taking place at the Hyatt Regency between October 21st -25th under the theme “Collective Regional Action Toward a Climate Resilient, Water Secure and Zero Waste Caribbean”.

To tell us more about this upcoming event is Marvin Gonzales, Minister of Public Utilities and Ms. Abigail Whitehall, Head of Programmes and Technical Unit, Solid Waste Management Company – SWMCOL.

Finally, we speak on The Tobago Tourism Agency Limited (TTAL), in partnership with the Foundation for Environmental Education and Green T&T, and their hosting of its annual Blue Flag National Operators Meeting (NOM) in Tobago. Joining us via zoom is Johann Durand, Director of Blue Flag International and Joanna Moses-Wothke, CEO of Green T&T and National Operator for Blue Flag and Green Key Trinidad and Tobago.
