Morvant man stabbed in Woodbrook
A Morvant man who was reportedly standing at the corner of Luis and Robert streets in Woodbrook on Sunday night, was stabbed several times by suspects who got out of a car and attacked him.
The 30-year-old man, from Pitch Road, Morvant, remained hospitalised in a stable condition up to yesterday. Guardian Media understands the incident occurred around 11.50 pm.
It is alleged the suspects walked up to the victim and began stabbing him about the body before getting back into the waiting car and escaping.
The victim contacted the police. He was later rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital, where he was treated and warded. Even though a request was made for CCTV footage, investigators were told that cameras in the immediate area of the attack were non-functional. —Anna-Lisa Paul
