New Coast Guard Vessels Coming Soon

The two Cape-class vessels from the Australian government are expected to arrive in Trinidad and Tobago soon.

At a media conference, on Sunday Minister of National Security Fitzgerald Hinds discussed border security issues and the continued entry of illegal immigrants. The Minister hopes the addition of these vessels will assist the Coast Guard in keeping the borders protected. He said the existing vessels have outlived their use.
