No Report Of Sexual Assault Against Migrant

There has been no confirmation on reports of a Coast Guard Officer being suspended for sexually assaulting a migrant detainee at the Coast Guard Headquarters in Chaguaramas.

During a media conference hosted by the Ministry of National Security today, the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Vice Marshal Darryl Daniel was questioned about the incident and subsequently asked to confirm if it was in fact true.

He said no such report was given to him.
