National Day of Remembrance Ceremony 2024
President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Her Excellency, Christine Kangaloo (ORTT), Prime Minister Dr the Hon. Keith Rowley, Mrs Sharon Rowley, and Minister of National Security, the Hon. Fitzgerald Hinds participated in the National Day of Remembrance Ceremony 2024 at the National Memorial Park, Port of Spain today (Sunday 10th November, 2024).
The wreath-laying occasion at the Cenotaph, honours members of the armed forces who served and fell during combat in World War I (1914-1918) and World War II (1939-1945).
The Memorial Day parade comprising members of the Defence and Protective Services and Civil Society Organisations took to the streets of Port of Spain to commemorate this significant occasion.
Also in attendance were Members of Parliament, Ministers of Government, Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Heads of Defence and Protective Services; Senior Public Officials, Mayors, representatives of the Trinidad and Tobago Legion of Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League; and other dignitaries who laid wreaths at the Cenotaph.
