Officer shot dead in Arima

Police are probing the murder of one of their own, after Police Constable Sheldon Peterson was gunned down in Arima yesterday evening.

Police said Peterson was at Awesome Food and Drinks Limited at Olton Road, Arima, when gunmen opened fire just after 8 pm.

Investigators said another person was injured in the melee.
