Police confirm kidnapped boy rescued but suspect escapes
Police have officially confirmed the 12-year-old boy who was taken by his relative yesterday, was rescued by overnight.
Police say officers used thermal imaging from drones to find the suspect and victim in a secluded forested area.
The boy was suffering from minor cuts and bruises and dehydration. He was taken for medical attention and reunited with his family.
Officers say the suspect evaded them along a riverbank.
