Police investigate “drug-related” murder in Couva

A 23-year-old man was shot dead last night in Couva.

Jerome Wickham, of Gilda Street, Lisas Boulevard, was with a group of people at an apartment building on Annabelle Street, Lisas Boulevard around 9:50 pm when someone fired several gunshots. Wickham was shot multiple times and died at the scene.

Crime scene investigators recovered three spent 9 mm shells and a live 9 mm round. The police suspect the incident was drug-related.

Officers from the Central Division and Homicide Region 3 responded to the scene, and they continue to investigate.
