Police Kill Bandit During Robbery In San Juan



A 25 year old man was shot and killed by police on Tuesday when the officers responded to a report of a robbery in the San Juan area.

The man was identified as Denille Robinson of D’abadie.

TTT News understands that officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force responded to a report of a robbery in progress at Reliable Appliances Parts and Services store on Boundary Road at around 12:55pm.

Reports are that when the officers arrived, they discovered several employees tied up at the warehouse complex. One of them managed to signal to the officers that the bandits were still at the scene and were in the upper part of the building.

Police said when they encountered the group of about ten men, Robinson pointed a firearm in their direction and they shot him. The other intruders escaped.

The wounded man was rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he died.

Employees were robbed of cash and other personal items during the incident.

Police also continue their search for the other persons involved.
