A 60-year-old police officer was robbed at gunpoint outside his home in Santa Rosa Heights, Arima, on Tuesday night.

Guardian Media understands that at about 8:10 pm, the victim had just parked his white Hyundai Tucson, valued at $230,000, in front of his Pommerac Drive home, when he was approached by two men.

One of the assailants, armed with a firearm, ordered him to hand over his belongings.

The victim handed over the keys to his vehicle, his wallet containing his TTPS ID, driver’s permit, bank cards, and a Samsung Note 20 mobile phone.

The suspects then drove off with the vehicle along Pinto Road.

Investigations are ongoing.
