Police search for suspect

Police are searching for a 27-year-old Mayaro man who allegedly chopped the mother of his children early yesterday morning.

Police said at 12.30 am, Susha Gray was at her St Margaret’s Village home when she had an argument with the suspect. The suspect reportedly grabbed a cutlass and chopped Gray several times before running away.

Gray was taken to hospital for treatment and remained in serious condition up to late yesterday.

Police were searching for the suspect, who lives at Radix Village, Mayaro, up to late yesterday.

A social media post purported to be the suspect’s driver’s permit and identification card was shared by Gray’s relatives and friends in a bid to assist the police in apprehending him.

“Share until he’s found. Too much evil roaming,” one post said.

Investigations are continuing.
