Pope Francis asks T&T: “Pray for me!”

Pope Francis has asked Trinidad and Tobago nationals to pray for him as he offered a blessing to this country.

The blessing and request were recorded by Archbishop Jason Gordon on his cellphone while attending the 6th Synod Assembly in Rome.

The video shows Pope Francis being brought into the event in a wheelchair before his brief interaction with Archbishop Gordon.

“Trinidad and Tobago,” the Pope said, “God bless you, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. And pray for me, don’t forget.”

A photo of Archbishop Gordon’s interaction with the Pope was posted on the Antilles Episcopal Conference’s Facebook page and then shared on the Facebook page of the Archdiocese of Port-of-Spain.
