Thieves stole approximately $50,000 worth of equipment from a preschool in Central during a break-in last Tuesday morning.
Inzemaan Mirza from Influence Church discovered the crime when staff arrived to open the facility. The T&TEC electricity meter was missing, and the building was without power.
The intruders entered through an upstairs window, broke a door, and stole televisions from the children’s area, as well as four speakers from the stage. “Whoever did this knew exactly what they were doing,” Mirza said.
Despite the loss, Mirza expressed hope, emphasizing gratitude over material possessions. Police are investigating and have increased patrols in Carapichaima, where other recent break-ins have occurred.
Authorities urge anyone with information to contact 999, 555, or 800-TIPS.
