Prisons officer found dead at firing range

A prisons officer was tragically found dead at a firing range in Chaguaramas on Friday.

He was identified as Kerry Sherwood.

According to reports, around 2pm Sherwood was discovered by range instructors at the Mount Saint Catherine Road facility suffering from a gunshot wound to the right side of his head.

He was taken to the St James Medical Complex, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
