It’s been four months now, since the arrest of photojournalist Deysi Peñaduring which time she has been away from her relatives, who fear that Christmas will arrive and at Christmas Eve dinner, without her at the table.

Peña’s relatives pointed out that on this date in previous years, she was already beginning to place the majestic manger that connects her with her Andean roots, a tradition she has fulfilled since she was 15 years old.

This year the situation is different, Deysi is not decorating his house located in Los Teques, Miranda state, nor is he looking for the “Child Jesus” for his 7-year-old brunettes. The photojournalist has been detained for four months, accused of the crimes of terrorism, incitement to hatred and obstruction of public roadsaccording to a press release.

To date remains held in a women’s prison in Ocumare del Tuyin Miranda, without a trial start date and no access to the file by the public defender.

Relatives of the prominent audiovisual professional await with faith a precautionary measure that will allow Deysi’s long-awaited reunion with her three children, her granddaughter and other loved ones. They advocate for a Christmas with Deysi, in which his arrest on August 2 will be remembered.
