Released Wayú indigenous person asks for help to contact his family
Francisco Gonzales Palmar, a member of the Wayú ethnic group, was released early Friday morning from the Yare III penitentiary center, located in Valles del Tuy, Miranda. Now you need help contacting your family in MaracaiboZulia state, reported the Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners via x.
Gonzales Palmar was released from prison in the context of the recent releases of political prisoners. He is a resident of Plaza de Toros.

The NGO Penal Forum confirmed this Sunday the release of 131 people linked to the protests against the official result of the presidential elections of July 28.
«We have registered and verified 131 releases carried out by review of measures requested by the Public Ministry (…) EWe understand that for the most part there is no full freedom and the judicial processes continue«, indicated the NGO in a publication in X.
He explained that those released will have to go to court this Monday to have alternative measures imposed for their deprivation of liberty.
Yesterday, Attorney General Tarek William Saab assured that between Friday afternoon and Saturday, 225 measures of freedom were “granted and executed” to people detained after protests against the official result that proclaimed Nicolás Maduro as the winner of the presidential elections of the July 28.
