Renato Yanez, iconic traffic reporter, dies

Reporter Renato Yanez, who for years covered traffic in Caracas, died on Friday of natural causes, FM Center said in a statement. He was 55 years old.

«Jovial, attentive and supportive, Renato Yánez joined the ranks of Traffic Center in its coordination and subsequently took off in the red helicopter from where the guiding voice was given to the Caracas residents who were looking for the best option to travel through the capital,” wrote the station.

He praised Yánez’s work and said that his professionalism was reflected not only in the sky, but also on the capital’s roads.

«Then, with the powerful Traffic Center motorcycle, he traveled the main roads of Caracas and Miranda to always provide the best information and service in a display of ethics and commitment to our audience,» Indian.

Yánez showed his talent in booths with his space The Control Tower, a space that aired from Monday to Friday and provided company and entertainment to listeners across the country. He always confessed to being in love with Caracas.
