Sanitation worker shot dead in Tobago

A man was shot and killed in Tobago on Friday night.

The victim, identified as 27-year-old Brandon Edwards, a sanitation worker from Lammy Road, was found unconscious near his home around 10:03pm.

Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots prior to his discovery.

Edwards was lying face down, wearing a dark blue jersey and black shorts.

First responders arrived shortly after the incident was reported and cordoned off the area.

A district medical officer pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
