Security Officer Charged with Murder

Kerwyn St. Rose, a 35-year-old security officer from Curepe, appeared in court on Friday, charged with the murder of Matthew Mungaldeen. 

Matthew Mungaldeen, 29, a Data Management Officer also from Curepe, was liming at a bar near his home when St. Rose approached him. St. Rose asked for a drink of puncheon, which Mungaldeen refused. An argument followed, during which St. Rose stabbed Mungaldeen in the right cheek. He later died. St. Rose fled the scene.

However he was arrested on August 25.

He was remanded in custody and will return to court for a sufficiency hearing on September 15.
