SERIOUS CRIMES DECREASED BY 16%
Minister of National Security Fitzgerald Hinds stated that, aside from murders, serious crimes have declined by 16% in Trinidad and Tobago. He shared this information during his contribution to the national budget debate for fiscal 2025. Hinds explained that, despite the challenges, his government has been managing well. However, he noted that violence and the use of high-powered weapons are driving up the murder rate. More in this report from Kandace Jackson.
