Student and graduate elections at the UCV develop normally
The elections to renew student representatives at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) They take place this Friday with total normality in all the faculties of the university.
The electoral material for the elections, in which students and graduates participate, was found since Thursday in the 11 faculties in charge of the electoral subcommittees, as part of the organization of this university process.
After 10:00 am, 90% of the tables were already open.according to a report sent to the media by the president of the Federation of University Centers of the UCV (FCU-UCV), Jesús Mendoza Morales.
«The process has gone smoothly. (In the morning) there has been little influx at the time. But the time when there will be the most influx will be at noon,” Mendoza highlighted.
Delay in the opening of polling stations at the UCV
The authorities indicated that There was a delay of between 30 minutes and an hour in the opening of at least 80% of the tables for the elections at the UCV. However, by mid-morning the process was already advancing regularly in almost all the faculties.
“Participation in this process is essential because it is a day to highlight the democratic, plural, freedom and autonomy nature of the Central University of Venezuela (…) We want this process to happen in peace,” Mendoza highlighted.
He said they hope to have the results in the early hours of Saturday, November 16.
