The Briefing Room (Oct.14, 2024)

Minister for Tourism, Hon Ernest Hilaire leads this edition of the Briefing Room. He mentioned two notable events: the commencement of the cruise season Oct. 2024 to May 2025 during which higher numbers of arrivals are expected; and the international launch of Lucian Carnival 2025 in Miami.

Minister for Agriculture, Hon Alfred Prospere provided an update on his participation in two major Agriculture-related events, the Ministry of Agriculture’s initiatives, and reducing Saint Lucia’s food import bill.

Prime Minister the Hon. Philip J. Pierre discussed the latest unemployment statistics, the strike at 1st National Bank, and made a special announcement.
