The cases of mass poisonings in the country rise to seven

Nicolás Maduro reported this Thursday that in the country Two new cases of mass poisoning were recordedfor a total of seven, in schools in different states and which are related – he said – to challenges on social networks.

In his program ‘Maduro Live de Repente’, Maduro explained that the new cases were registered this Thursday in the state of Portuguesawhere authorities previously reported two others.

Two cases of mass poisoning were also identified in Miranda and one in Barinas, as reported on Wednesday by the Minister of the Interior, Diosdado Cabello.

Maduro asserted that he has followed up on “viral challenge” ‘chroming’ that “has been affecting” student communities in several countries around the world” and encourages “very young boys” to make “preparations in containers with different chemicals.”

These chemicals, he continued, They spread on desks, floors, bathrooms or on clothing, which causes – he stated – poisoning.

Likewise, he indicated that in Venezuela “there are people detained” for these cases, although he did not specify the number or the total number of poisoned people.

Mass poisonings in Venezuela

On November 5, the first mass poisoning was detected in Venezuela, which affected 94 people in a school in Barinas, where, according to the state channel VTV, a 14-year-old student – now detained – uncovered a bottle that contained “a “pink liquid substance” that “is being analyzed.”

Three days later, the authorities recorded 85 poisonings in a school in Portuguesa, due to an “alleged unidentified chemical substance.”

The cases are being investigated by the Scientific, Criminal and Forensic Investigation Corps.
