Andrés Velásquez, national leader of La Causa R, said this Sunday that the departure to Spain of the leader of the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), Edmundo González Urrutia, –after the asylum granted by the government of Pedro Sánchez“does not change” the result of the July 28 electionswhen -he said- the opposition leader was elected president, despite the official result, which gave re-election to Nicolás Maduro.

Through X, Velásquez claimed that “the massive avalanche vote” gave the victory to González Urrutia, an assertion that the PUD claims is proven according to the 83.5% of the electoral records that they say they collected in the presidential elections through witnesses and table members, documents that the Venezuelan government considers “false.”

He stated that Maduro “lost” and “fraudulently clinging to power” is “violating” the Constitution and “ignore the sovereign vote.”
